Siegfried: Hey, if you’re a beast that’s able to talk, there’s someone here who doesn’t know fear. Is he able to learn it from you?

 

Fafner: (#126 tympani) Are you so foolhardy?

 

Siegfried: Hardy or foolhardy – what do I know? But I’ll lay you low if you don’t teach me fear!

 

Fafner: (emitting a noise like laughter: #126 tympani) I wanted a drink but food I find, too!
